Scott Olynek was born in Montreal, Canada. His family moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada where he grew up from a very early age. He attended secondary school in Calgary, and went on to Mount Royal College where he graduated with a diploma in Theatre Performance. Then on to the University of Alberta where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, with distinction. Since then, he has been performing on stage as well as film and television.
