Satya Saha was born on Dec 25, 1934 in British India. Satya Saha's big-screen debut came with Shutorang directed by Subhash Dutta in 1964. Satya Saha was born on 25 December, 1934 in Fateyabad, Patia, Chittagong, East Bengal, British India (now Bangladesh). He was the son of Prasannakumar Saha. He started his music lesson under his uncle Rabindrapal Saha. He also took lessons of classical music and devotional Bhajan songs from Pandit Suparna Nandi during 1946. He debuted as a singer in the film Tomar Amar and debuted as music director in the film Shutorang (1964). Other notable films of the music directed by him are - Rupban (1965), Phir Milenge Hum Dono (1966), Kagojer Nouka (1966),13 Number Feku Ostagar Lane (1966), Etotuku Asha (1968), Abirbhab (1968), Binimoy (1970), Dhire Bohe Meghna (1973), Alor Michil (1974), Lathial (1975), Nayanmoni (1976), Puroshkar (1983), Aguner Poroshmoni (1994), Dipu Number 2 (1996), Ajante (1996). He received Bangladesh Film Journalists' Association Award in 1974 for Alor Michil, Bangladesh National Film Award in 1994 for Aguner Poroshmoni, in 1996 for Ajante. He was also awarded as Shadinata Padak in 2013 posthumously. He died on 27 January, 1999 for old age illness.
