Sandra is the only child of Physical Ed. teachers. Born in Angola (Portuguese colony, at the time), she was months old when her family returned to Lisbon, Portugal, where she grew up, close to the ocean.Her artistic career started at age 11, dancing in the Disney feature of a popular TV show. At 18 (while in college, studying for her Licentiate degree in Clinical Psychology), she became a professional dancer, career which she embraced for about 15 years. Between stage, television and film, Dance and Acting, Sandra has performed in Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Spain and the USA.Her credits include TV fiction (series, soaps, animation voiceover), indie features, many lead characters in short-films and commercials... and 24 theatre productions, including Fool for Love (as May) in Lisbon, and He & She (as She) in NYC. She's also appeared in several music videos, co-hosted a game-show and a variety talk-show, and was a guest interviewee in several talk-shows, in Portugal. She designed the set for and directed the musical "The little lost kitten" (with an adorable cast of 3-5 year-olds); Created/directed "Não há dois sem três" and "Doze"; And wrote/set-designed/directed the play "Ponto de encontro".She's still a proud member of "CDA", the theatre company/cultural association she co-founded/directed, in Portugal (2004-13), where she was also a teacher for many years, a producer, an occasional writer and director.Her company's social work was granted 2 awards: a Merit Award from Oeiras City Hall to CDA; and one from the prestigious Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to that same City Hall, for CDA's "Ampliarte Project - Culture and social intervention", of which she is also a co-founder and former faculty.In NY, she trained in Uta Hagen's technique for 2 years, having completed HB Studio's "Professional Fine Arts Training in Theatre" and in 2022 received her Psychology transcripts with an equivalence to a Masters Degree in the US. She's recently started teaching again, coaching one-on-one.Sandra has a deep interest in transformation through art, deeply cares about a few social causes, and wholeheartedly wishes to one day collaborate with "The Innocence Project", which work she profoundly admires.She lived in Brooklyn for 7 years and is now in NJ with her husband and their adopted puppy.
