Saira Banu

Saira Banu was born on Aug 23, 1944 in British India. Saira Banu's big-screen debut came with Junglee directed by Subodh Mukherji in 1961. Saira Banu is known for Purab Aur Pachhim directed by Manoj Kumar, Ashok Kumar stars as Bharat's Guru and Saira Banu as Preeti. The upcoming new movie Saira Banu plays is Duniya which will be released on Sep 18, 1984.

Saira was born into a Urdu-speaking family in India. Her mom's name is Naseem Banu.She spent much of her childhood in London and was able to debut in 1961 in a Bollywood movie 'Junglee' opposite Shammi Kapoor.At the age of 22, she got married to Yusuf Khan, alias Bollywood superstar Dilip Kumar. Saira has a niece, Shaheen, who was once married to Bollywood actor, Sumit Saigal, and the couple have a daughter, Sayesha.
