Ruben Ochandiano de Higes was born and raised in Madrid, to Maria Jesus, a doctor, and Ernesto, a computer engineer. After being trained in acting, singing and contemporary dance by different professors, Ochandiano completed his education studying acting with Juan Carlos Corazza. When he was in his 20s, he spent a year living and working in Buenos Aires, where he made contact with a number of avant-garde creators. Although he is also a celebrated theatre director, Ochandiano is a very talented, versatile and meticulous actor merited by the numerous challenging projects he has taken on in his life. He is known to be very selective about his roles. He has worked with some of the most interesting directors around the world: Pedro Almodovar, Alejandro G. Iñarritu, Steven Soderbergh, Juan Jose Campanella and Gabriele Salvatores among others.In 2015 Ochandiano moved to Paris to consolidate his international film career. Presently he splits his time between Los Angeles, Madrid and Paris.
