Ron Hajek saved a young man's life. Not only was Ron a talented actor and wholehearted friend, but he was a hero. Toward the end of his life, living for a miraculous length of time (over 5 years) after being told he would not live for three months because of John Ritter's Disease (he passed of an infection and not because of his heart disease), he showed compassion to a suffering young man who had stolen his car wheel. In court, Ron decided to forgive the man and the two became close friends. They lived in the same neighborhood and met regularly, talking for hours at a time. David was able to turn his life around and go back to school, going on to become an educated person devoted to making the world a better place.
