Riley Rae Baker is an American actress, writer and musician. She holds dual nationality in New Zealand and is of Scottish, Hungarian and Jewish decent. Daughter of New Zealand father and former UFC fighter Dr. Scott Baker and mother Laura Rae Baker, Riley grew up all over. She equates her love for people and their stories to having experienced so many different types of people and cultures from an early age. She grew up with a love of the arts; pursuing dance, music and photography throughout her adolescence. She is a nationally ranked photographer and decided to translate that love of capturing images to film. While studying filmmaking with an emphasis in cinematography in college, Riley found herself wishing to be the one in front of the camera. On a whim, she decided to audition for the acting program at 'The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.' Despite the competitive nature of the program and having no previous acting experience or training, she was accepted. While in New York, Riley played lead roles in off broad-way productions such as 'The Crucible' and Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew' which garnered her notable acclaim.Riley has been building a varied screen career as well as working on stage in Los Angeles and New York. She is known for the quality and versatility within her work.
