Reed began acting in film and TV in 1985. He attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is a UCLA graduate. He played Lt.Roger Chaffee in SAG winner, Apollo 13 (1995), Spicer in Sundance winner, Pastime(1990), Kevin McKane in Sundance favorite, Scotland P.A.(2001). He's also played an engaging combination of charming and peculiar on TV and films. Reed is active in the voiceover community, voicing hundreds of commercials and narrating multiple series for CNBC, VH1, Encore and for NFL. He is the vocal coach to many of KCRW's on-air talent, as well as vocal coach for all three seasons on the doc series, Religion of Sport. He has performed with Naked Angles Theater Co in NY and with avant- garde theater giant, Anne Bogart. For 20 years he acted, directed and mentored kids in L.A.'s Virginia Ave. Project. Reed is married to yoga instructor, Birgitte Kristen. They have two sons.
