Paula trained as a dancer in Nashville, Atlanta, Georgia, and Los Angeles, California (she also studied acting in Los Angeles). Beyers not only appeared as a dancer on TV specials for Mac Davis, but also was featured as a dancer on episodes of the flop comedy variety TV show "Pink Lady and Jeff." Moreover, Paula popped up as a dancer on "The Sonny and Cher Show" and "The Jackson Five" TV series. She has small roles in the films "New York, New York," "Grease," "History of the World: Part I," and "Staying Alive." Beyers was one of the original eight primary dancers on the immensely popular music variety TV series "Solid Gold;" she first joined the program in 1980 and remained on the show until the end of the 1982 season. Paula was married to Rick Springfield's drummer Jack White. She appears in the music video for "What Kind of Fool Am I" by Springfield. In addition, Paula once owned her own clothing line called Fun Stuff.
