Patrick Minks was born on Oct 29, 1966 in Netherlands. Patrick Minks's big-screen debut came with A Sad Flower in the Sand directed by Jan Louter in 2001. Patrick Minks studied Drama and Film at the University of Amsterdam and Film Editing at the Dutch Film Academy. As a film editor, he's worked with acclaimed directors like Heddy Honigmann, Jos de Putter, Hany Abu-Assad and Walter Stokman and internationally with Liew Seng Tat, Marco de Stefanis, Thom Vander Beken, Bora Lee-Kil and Janis Rafa. Since 1998, Patrick has written and directed several short fiction films and he co-wrote the feature film "Above Us All" which premiered at the Berlinale in 2014. His most recent film is the feature documentary "Michel, actor loses the words", nominated as Best Flemish Documentary in 2018. As a tutor, Patrick has been involved at the Master Film of the Dutch Film Academy since 2009 and he regularly consults filmmakers and visual artists on their scripts and rough cuts.
