Patachou

Patachou was born on Jun 10, 1918 in France. Patachou's big-screen debut came with Femmes de Paris directed by Jean Boyer in 1953. Patachou is known for French Cancan directed by Jean Renoir, Jean Gabin stars as Henri Danglard and Françoise Arnoul as Nini. The upcoming new movie Patachou plays is San Antonio which will be released on Jul 21, 2004.

Patachou was born Henriette Ragon on 10 June 1918. Born and brought up in Paris she had many jobs, including typist, shop assistant, and antique dealer. In 1948, she and her husband Jean Billon opened a nightclub in Montmarte called Patachoi. She began her singing career there, so journalists gave her the nickname Patachou after the establishment. A mentor to many younger singers, she was principally known as an international vocalist, but she made a handful of films before her death in 2015.
