Ove is a native New Yorker whose parents came from the Dominican Republic. He started writing and performing at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in the summer of 2003 after he lost his only brother Carlos "Zinc Blue" to suicide. Losing his brother was devastating for many obvious reasons but, being that he was an aspiring poet/author who never had the chance to glow in front of an audience made this tragedy even more difficult to deal with. Ove's presence on stage has become a symbol of honor in the name of his brother, who is the eternal driving-force behind Ove's work to uplift and rejoice the spirits of all people. So Now, Ove has essentially decided to devote the rest of his life to honoring his brother thru this amazing art we call SpokenWord. Since his start at the Nuyo, Ove produced his first solo DVD title: Innocence In My Politics has been featured on NBC and UPN for Showtime At The Apollo and ESPN2s new reality hit series: I'd Do Anything. In the Spring of 2004 he was published in the newly acclaimed literary arts magazine The Good Apple. Ove is also 1 of 4 poets starring in a new film called "Spit" due to be out in theaters summer 2006. He's also toured most major U.S. cities from east to west coast. Had his first European tour in London only months after he became a spokenword artist.
