Nedelcho Chernev is a Bulgarian film and theater director. Nedelcho Chernev Borisov was born on March 1,1923, in Maglizh, Kazanlak region, Bulgaria. He graduated from the National Theatre School in Sofia in 1947. His teacher was Professor Boyan Danovski. He worked as assistant director at the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" and Vratsa Drama Theater. For nine years he was a director in the Bulgarian Army's Theatre. He became renown as a director of some of the most popular Bulgarian TV series: "Every kilometer" (1969, 1971), "Captain Petko leader" (1981) and others. He received the title "Honored Artist" (1975), and "People's Artist" (1982) and the Order "Cyril and Methodius" (1962.) He died on January 8, 2000 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
