The German actress with Iranian roots is nationally well known as a tough police inspector in the ARD-TV series THE CROATIAN CRIME THRILLER. Having discovered her passion for acting as a student at school, she was accepted to the highly selective Academy for Music and Theater in Rostock and debuted on stage as Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" for which she received the Karl Heinz Walther Award. For many years, the stage continued to be her favored domain, although she was highly praised for her roles in numerous films and TV productions during that time. In recent years, she has been teaching acting classes at the Rostock Academy in addition to pursuing her career as an actress: "Working with young drama students truly enhances my own work as an actress!" She stars in Shirin Neshat's film LOOKING FOR OUM KULTHUM which will be internationally released in spring 2018.
