Lena Davis was born in East Whiteland, Pennsylvania. She was the only child of Thomas and Margaret (Tucker) Davis. Her mother later married Thomas Jefferson Newbury in December 1873 and she lived with them in Iowa in Keokuk (1875) Levy (1880) and Sioux City (1885). Her son, actor Irving Bacon, was born in St. Joseph, Missouri in September 1893. She appeared as Mrs. O'Rourke (1923) in "April Showers," Aunt Charlotte (1923) in "Are You a Failure?" Mrs. Martin (1924) in "The Mirage," Aunt Harriett Kennedy (1924) in "K-The Unknown," Elvira Carney (1924) in "A Girl of the Limberlost," Mrs. Van Gore (1924) in "A White Sin," and a credited actor in "A Finished Actor," in 1927. She was living with her son and his two small children in 1930 following the death of Irving's wife, Freda in 1928. Myrtle Vane/Lena Davis died of a paralytic stroke on February 17, 1932.
