The year 2011 was the year that spearheaded his career as a director to its peak by directing a large number of Short films, documentaries and commercial. In 2018 Salama directed his first series Rahem which was what stood him out from his generation of directors as he presented a very trending and highly watched series and earning him a vast number of awards for him as a director and for the series itself.
