Michael Stringer

Born and raised in Ottawa, ON, Michael has lived there for most of his life, moving around the city throughout his childhood. However when he was 6 years old his family moved down to Montevideo, Uruguay, for about a year. There he was shown a way of life totally different from the one he had known before and this began his great passion for experiencing and understanding our world's diverse cultures.With a French mother and a Canadian father he was brought up on both English and French and is fluent it both languages, an attribute that he values greatly. Throughout his upbringing he continued traveling, visiting mostly friends and family in France, Germany and Asia. After graduating from High School, Michael traveled through Europe for a year and eventually settled down in Paris for some time.After his travels he moved to Vancouver in 2011 to pursue his career in the film industry. There he graduated from Vancouver Film School with over 20 short film credits under his belt and a great enthusiasm about working in the field he had always dreamt of.Michael has always loved to tell stories and his travels have given him a deep interest in Canadian history and cultural development. He takes inspiration from many great Canadian filmmakers and artists and wishes to spread Canadian stories to the world. He lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. - 2012
