Michael Montero comes from humble, working class beginnings in Detroit, Michigan. In high school, his father relocated the family to Charlotte, North Carolina in search of better opportunities. Montero played a lot of sports in his youth and served in the Marine Corps; the discipline he learned there would serve him well in future endeavors.In his late twenties Michael decided to take an acting class for fun, instantly fell in love with the process, and soon knew that he wanted to pursue it seriously. He briefly lived in Saint Louis, Missouri before moving to Los Angeles in late 2009 with nothing more than his car, his clothes and a little cash. In fact, Montero lived in a friend's closet for a while before finding his first job in LA.In California Montero would go on to find success in entertainment; both in acting and sports media. He's booked numerous roles on television shows like Army Wives, House of Payne, the Young and the Restless and a recurring role on Days of Our Lives, among others. Michael is trained in the Meisner acting technique and graduated from the famed Groundlings Theater & School in 2013; performing live improvisational comedy and sketch shows there, as well as The Second City, in Hollywood. A diehard boxing fan, Montero is a very active member of the media; contributing to numerous boxing magazines, TV, radio and web shows around the world.
