He has directed 20 feature-length films/TV movies and over 230 episodes of prime-time drama and comedy including the entire first season of the ground-breaking hit series "Little Mosque On The Prairie" that used humor to attack racism against Muslims in the post-911 world. He was recently nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction, TV Movie for "#Roxie", which was also nominated for Best TV Movie. Michael is a Co-Winner of the CSA Award for Outstanding Contribution Film and Television Diversity.Michael is often brought in early to help develop a new TV series. He has directed the pilots for 13 series including: "Little Mosque...", "Pure Pwnage", "Delmer and Marta", "North South", "Mental Block", "Listen Missie", "Screech Owls", "P.R.", "Taking The Falls", "My Life and a Movie", "The Good Germany", "This Space For Rent" and "Jets".
