Born in New York City, Michael is a second generation Brooklynite and Italian American. At a young age he was always creating and encouraged by his parents who sourced artist materials, education and approved apprenticeships. At "The Brooklyn Museum School of Fine Art and The Arts Students League of New York" his work won awards, scholarships and exhibitions. He attended Parsons School of Design and became a fashion designer. In addition to Pret a Porte and Couture collections for several years it was the collaborations to create costumes which inspired him to pursue entertainment. Their was a period of transition, including a move to Los Angeles but it was back home in New York on "Jerome Robbins Broadway" that prompted him to membership in Theatrical Wardrobe Union 764 and then United Scenic Artist Union 829 which open the doors to a thirty plus, year career. Michael still maintains his Fine Art practice and also is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
