Menotti was born on Sep 23, 1965 in Italy. Menotti's big-screen debut came with My Wife Is a Zombie directed by Monica Winter Vigil in 2008.

Menotti (pen name of Roberto Marchionni) is an Italian comic artist and a screenwriter. He created comic strips and illustrations for daily papers and magazines including "Frigidaire" - Italy's controversial satirical magazine - "Comic Art" and "Blue". In 2004 his graphic novel Europa, created with Massimo Semerano, was given the Micheluzzi Prize for the best script of the year. In 2005 he studied Filmmaking at NYU and directed his first short film, My Name is Alice, followed by My Wife Is a Zombie (2008). In Italy he went on to write sitcoms and a variety of TV show episodes such as Un posto al sole (1996), La squadra (2000), Incantesimo (1998), 7 vite (2007). With Nicola Guaglianone he wrote the screenplay On l'appelle Jeeg Robot (2015), about the first Italian superhero.
