Maude Eburne was born on Nov 10, 1875 in Canada. Maude Eburne's big-screen debut came with A Pair of Sixes directed by Lawrence C. Windom in 1918. Eburne started on the stage in Ontario and New York, later appearing on Broadway in 1914, playing a cockney maid. She played comic servants on stage until 1930 then moved to films in 1931. On screen, she played a variety of roles from maids to aristocrats to pipe-smoking harridans. Eburne retired from the screen in 1951.
