Martie Sanders is an actress and self-scripting solo monologist who calls Chicago her home. She's acted in over fifty plays in regional Midwest theater, has mounted four one-woman shows, and performs her writing regularly with a solo performance collective called The Sweat Girls. Martie's latest solo show - "The Me, Mom & Dad Show!" - received Critic's Choice in The Chicago Reader when it was featured in Goodman Theater's "Women Taking The Stage Festival" in 2009. She was selected as "Best in Show" as one of the Top Ten Performers of 2005 by The Wisconsin State Journal and shared this one-of-ten title with Bruce Springsteen. Martie is married to author Kevin A. Davis and is the mother of Sonny Jay Davis.
