Mark was born in Horne, Surrey to farmer and amateur entertainer Bernard Kempner, and former land-girl Mary Kempner. He went to Michael Hall school, and excelled in particular, in the many drama classes.Mark worked on the family farm until meeting wife Anna at 18. They married in 1982. They have two children, both of whom are also professional actors.Soon after leaving school, Mark worked on a Kibbutz in Israel for a year and in that time, started up a touring comedy drama group. The group toured other Kibbutz's performing comedy sketches.Mark trained as an agricultural engineer, and then took up industrial engineering at Gatwick Airport.Mark gave up engineering to become a professional actor and entertainer in 1992Mark is one of the UK's only Groucho Marx lookalikes, and has performed as Groucho in many parts of the world.In 1996 Mark took over the development of TrueView Events providing comedy murder mystery shows, Murder mystery days, film making events, Video production and other corporate entertainment.In between running the company, Mark has had many parts in adverts and TV programmes.Mark creates bespoke video show-reels for fellow professional actors.
