Born in Montreal, Canada, Maria di Biase is an actress from Molise. For over 20 years she has been one half of a comedy duo with Corrado Nuzzo. As a screenwriter and actress she ranges from theatrical comedy to dramas, from the sphere of radio to that of television and to the big screen. Her career began on TV. After a lengthy collaboration with the Gialappa's Band, she ended up in Zelig and then Quelli che il calcio and over the past year she was alongside Massimo Ranieri on the show Qui e adesso, aired on Rai 3. In cinema she debuted in 2009, cast with Ficarra and Picone in La matassa, and has been in various movies: Anche se è amore non si vede (It May Be Love But It Doesn't Show), Amici come noi, Gli Ultimi saranno ultimi (The Last Will Be the Last), Che vuoi che sia, Tiramisù, Bene ma non benissimo, Arrivano i Prof, Odio l'estate, Bla Bla Baby. In 2018 she also debuted as a director and screenwriter in the movie Vengo anch'io (I'll Come Too), produced by Tramp Ltd. and distributed by Medusa, which she stars in together with Corrado Nuzzo. Despite the TV and movie commitments, she has never left her first love: the theater. From the classics to more contemporary playwrights' works, from the recital to the play, many are the theater shows that she has been in and that have brought her to grace Italy's most prestigious stages. She is now working as a radio show host on Radio 2 in the shows Numeri Uni and Black Out.
