At age eighteen, while climbing with friends, Marcus fell over one hundred feet breaking and his back in several places. After weeks in the hospital he received the news that he would not regain use of his legs. Two weeks later he walked out of the hospital. This experience became the inspiration for his first feature film, One Fall.
