Marco Schleicher is an Austrian filmmaker. He is a former student from Michael Haneke and worked in the Assistant Director and Casting department of Blockbuster movies - including: "Terminator" & "Hellboy" - as well as on TV series for Netflix and Amazon.In his early years he worked as a child TV host for the public Austrian TV. Later, he studied Theatre, Film and Media Sciences at the University of Vienna and he was in Michael Haneke's Directing program at the Film Academy Vienna. Marco also worked as 2nd AD for the TV station ORF and as assistant director for the Burgtheater in Vienna (Junge Burg).From 2015 to 2018 he lived in London. Marco completed the MA Directing program at the Met Film School (Ealing Studios) and his graduation film - starring Christian McKay - was featured at the Festival de Cannes (Short Film Corner). Marco also worked for the casting directors Dan Hubbard and Nancy Bishop on a range of projects; from Blockbuster movies to High End TV drama to commercials.
