Born in Correggio, a small town in Northern Italy, Luciano Ligabue switches different jobs (fruit gatherer, worker at a plant, accountant, deejay, salesman, promoter...) before publishing his first record ('Ligabue') as a rock songwriter in 1990. He quickly becomes one of the most famous Italian rock stars and his fourth record ('Buon compleanno Elvis') is a bestseller in 1995; his live shows also are between the most loved from the Italian rock audience, as shown in the following live album 'Su e giù da un palco'. In 1997 he publishes the book 'Fuori e dentro il borgo', a collection of short stories about his hometown (that he never left), his young days and his present career: from this stories comes the film Ligabue signed as a director, 'Radiofreccia (1998)', which portrays Correggio in the '70s.
