His visual effects shot design for the television series Firefly and Battlestar Galactica has creatively inspired the look of modern visual effects cinematography.He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Literature in 1995. After graduating from college in 1996, Loni went to work for mentor Joss Whedon on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, and Serenity as a Visual Effects Supervisor. He won an Emmy for Firefly.
