Lingo Hsieh began her career with directing short films, music videos and commercials. Her first short film, Doppelganger (2013), is a unique take on the genre of black comedy. In 2014, she collaborated with the Japanese horror film master, Takashige Ichise, on the short film, The Bride (2014), from which she developed the feature version in 2015.
