Laurence is a writer, director, and producer.Born and raised in Los Angeles, he attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for film and television. After college, Laurence began working at Management 360 ("Game of Thrones," Steve Jobs). With a lifelong passion for feature films, he soon transitioned to production, where he worked as a director's assistant on Fox's Fantastic Four.In 2013, Laurence directed the short film Life in Text, a relationship drama starring Alexandra Daddario ("True Detective", Baywatch), and Tyler Ritter ("The McCarthy's). It was featured on various websites including Yahoo! and Slash Film, and premiered at LACMA's Art+Film Lab. Afterward, he broadened his slate in the commercial and digital space, creating content for brands like Participant Media, Pressed Juicery, and Fusion.In 2016, Laurence began working at Concord, a major independent record company. Since then, he has directed and produced a wide slate of music videos and documentaries for artists: Andrew Bird, Iggy Pop, Common, Grace Potter, Steve Martin, Robert Glasper, Valerie June, R.E.M., Santana, Elvis Costello, George Harrison, Melissa Etheridge, and others.In 2018, Laurence helmed the first-ever official music video for Creedence Clearwater Revival's iconic song, "Have You Ever Seen The Rain".
