Kunka Baeva was born on March 30, 1922 in the village Hlevene , Lovech region, Bulgaria. In 1941, she graduated Mixed School "Tsar Boris III" (Lovech ). She studied and in 1944 graduated from theater school in Sofia . She participated in the war against Germany . She was an actress in a combat theater of the Bulgarian army . She was awarded with the Soldier's Cross " For Bravery ". She was an actress at the National Theater (1945-1951, 1964-1978), in Bulgarian cinematography (1951-1964) and in Lovech Drama Theatre (1978-1989). She has more than 35 roles in Bulgarian movies, including "Be Happy, Annie","Iconostasis", "Tattoo", "Cruel and Innocent", "Morning is Unique" ,"White Magic", "All and None", "Earth", "Poor Man's Summer", "End of Song", "Gerac Family", "Daughter in Law" and others. She was a Member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers . She was awarded with Soldiers Cross "For Bravery" IV v. (1944); "Cyril and Methodius" II, and I degree. (1964, 1973); First Prize for the recital "Looking centuries" (1974); Jubilee Medal "1300 years Bulgaria" (1981); Award of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers for the role of Neda in the movie "White Magic" and Lifetime Achievement in film (1982). She has a title Honored Artist (1982). She won the First prize for the role of Vida in the movie "Crossroads of the Clouds" at the VII National Review of Bulgarian drama and theater (1983). She had three commemorative medals for participation in World War II (one Soviet and two Bulgarian). She died on May 12, 2007 in Sofia.
