Kelsey Keel is a teenager from Northern Virginia who won an Emmy Award for her performance in the Showtime Original Picture for All Ages My Louisiana Sky (2001). Kelsey was nominated in the same category with Hume Cronyn, Juliette Lewis, Stephen Rea and Kevin Clash. This was Kelsey's first project. Following that, she did a production of "Trudy Blue" at the Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C. by the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Marsha Norman. She recently received her High School Diploma. Kelsey has three older brothers, Jon-Michael Downing, Patrick Downing, and Frankie Keel. She also has a sister in-law, Val Downing, and a niece, Jana Downing, whom she adores. Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family. Her father, Wade Keel, owns a custom picture framing business, which keeps expanding, and a beverage store in D.C. In her free time she goes into work and spends time with her dad. She also enjoys watching her brother Frankie play lacrosse, which he is excellent at, and football. When Kelsey travels for acting she travels with her mother, Karen Keel, who also owns a dance school, in Fairfax, Virginia. Kelsey has lots of hobbies. She enjoys shopping! She has played the drums for 8 years, the piano for 11 years and has been dancing since she was 4.
