Karolina Porcari is a italian-polish actress. She was born on August 15, 1979 in Warsaw (Poland) and grew up in south of Italy. She graduated at the National School of Drama in Cracow.Her first role on screen was the troubled ukrainian immigrant Olga in _Come l' ombra_ directed by 'Marina Spada'. Olga arrives from her country full of dreams and becomes friend of an introvert italian woman. Their delicate connection ends as Olga disappears in mysterious circumstances. The film was praised by critics and had its premiere at Venice Film Festival in 2006. Porcari followed up with the swiss-italian movie _Segreti e sorelle_ directed by 'Francesco Jost', where she played Paola, an arrogant young woman who comes back to the small swiss village she was born and deals with her mother's death. In 2011 Karolina Porcari played in the polish movie _Roza_ directed by Wojciech Smarzowski, a brutal portrait of eastern Europe at the end of the Second World War. She played the tragic role of Anna, a Polish Home Army officer' s wife, raped by a few german soldiers. In the same year she played her first English speaking role Masha in the independent film _Zero_ dir. by 'David Barrouck', the story of a group of anarchic junkies terrorists. Masha is a serbian terrorist forced by the London police to smash the group in order to regain her 10 years old son. The following year Porcari appeared in _Dzien kobiet_ dir. by 'Maria Sadowska' and in the italian comedy _Tutti i santi giorni_ dir. by 'Paolo Virzi'. In 2015 Karolina Porcari played the role of Mila in _The father_ dir. by 'Artur Urbanski'. Mila is a half italian half polish actress who becomes a mother and tries to combine her new life role with her artistic ambition. The same year Porcari appeared in the independent movie _Spirala_ dir. by 'Konrad Aksinowicz'.
