Julius Sevcík

Julius Sevcík was born on Oct 28, 1978 in Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. Julius Sevcík's big-screen debut came with Restart directed by Julius Sevcík in 2005.

Julius won Best Director Award at Shanghai Int.FF for noir thriller Normal - The Dusseldorf Ripper. He won 12 Czech Lion Awards incl. Best Director and Best Picture and 8 Sun in the Net Awards for a Prominent Patient which also won Best Actor in a leading role prize at Montreal World Festival. The film premiered at Berlinale Special in 2017. In 2019 Julius completed The Affair with Carice Van Houten, Claes Bang, Roland Moeller and Hanna Alstrom. The film was released worldwide in 2021.
