Jonathan Alderman was born and raised just outside of Metro Detroit. Growing up Jonathan was focused on several sports and never participated in any aspect of theater. Following High School graduation Jonathan was hired as a Technology Services intern for Turner Construction. This seemed to be the career path that he was to follow. But fate had something else in mind. After a year Jonathan's internship ended and he had to find other avenues to pursue. One such avenue came in the form of the Michigan Renaissance Festival. Jonathan went to an open audition and tried out for the resident cast. He was eventually cast as peasant and Rock Farmer extraordinaire Flint Stone. During this summer he began to receive improv training in the form of street theater and also began dialect training. Following his first year at the Michigan Renaissance Festival he was named Rookie of the Year.During the next season, the movie "All's Faire In Love" which at the time was still known as "Ye Olde Times" was to be shot on the grounds of the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan. The resident cast of the Michigan Renaissance Festival were photographed for the opportunity to be cast as extras in the movie. Some of the cast were eventually called to read for parts in the movie, Jonathan was one of them. He was originally asked to read for the part of Jamon, but when it came out that besides the improv training at the Renaissance Festival Jonathan had no formal training he was instead asked to read for Guard 1 and Guard 2. Upon entering the audition with Director Scott Marshall, Jonathan was asked why he was not reading for any of the football players. Marshall had him read the part of Cotton and he secured the part there on the spot.During the filming of football scenes for the movie "All's Faire In Love", Jonathan met Brad Lyon. Brad later cast Jonathan in his movie "Minor League: A Football Story" in the supporting role of Tony Houser. The future looks bright for this young actor.
