Joan Tetzel was born on Jun 21, 1921 in USA. Joan Tetzel's big-screen debut came with Duel in the Sun directed by King Vidor in 1946.

Aside from her movie career, Joan Tetzel was well known as a Broadway and London stage actress. She played Nurse Ratchett in the Broadway production of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest". During the early 1970s, she appeared in the London play, "How The Other Half Loves". She had guest roles in such American television series as Outlaws (1960), Perry Mason (1957), Thriller (1960), and Police Woman (1974). A noted stage actress, her picture appeared on the front cover of Life Magazine on February 14, 1948. She died in Sussex, England from cancer on October 31, 1977, aged 56.
