After publishing several novels worldwide and selling film rights, Cunningham wrote for every studio in Hollywood, including Warner's 'The Fugitive' (uncredited),'Shiva' at Disney, 'Isobar' and 'Flamingo' for Joel Silver, "Manchurian Candidate' (uncredited), 'Rockwood' at Imagine, 'Dempsey' at HBO, 'Bulger' for R Redford. Cunningham returned to his first love, novels, on Der Spiegel's best-seller list in Germany for 'Die Tauferin", (using Jeremiah Pearson, his first two names) published by Bastei Lubbe, (also published as 'Brethren" in English), the first novel of a trilogy set during the Reformation, the second being published this fall, 2016, the third book scheduled for 2017.
