Starting as far back as performing in his school's Christmas pageant in second grade, Jason has always been comfortable performing, but it wasn't until his freshman year at Village Christian high school, when he was given the role of Father Gomez in their production of, 'Lillies of the Field', that he realized how much he enjoyed performing. His Junior year, he would change schools, and attend Hart High School in Santa Clarita. And it was there his drama teacher, David Sprague, helped him believe he could make a career out of his talent. His senior year was 1994, and because of the Northridge quake, the auditorium was damaged at Hart High, forcing the students to use one of their backyards to put on the spring production, which Jason was also able to direct part of alongside his teacher. After graduating, he attended College of the Canyons for two and half years before transferring to Biola University, where he studied theatre under Professor Barry Cavin. There he would perform in numerous shows and films, including the lead in an ambitious adaptation of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. In 1999 he graduated with a B.A. in Communications-Radio/TV/Film and just shy of few theatre credits to earn a double major. He immediately immersed himself in auditioning and background work, while performing at Universal Studios in many capacities.During the next few years, he also worked In many local and regional theaters and in 2004 he would land his first big Voice Over gig, matching Eddie Murphy's Donkey for the Shrek 3 scratch track. He brought the gig to Wes Stevens at Vox, and signed several months later after booking the unsold pilot, Duck on a Bike for Disney Jr.Since then, Jason has made an ongoing career of voicing iconic animated characters for film, television and interactive content.
