Jan Malmsjö studied at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school 1950-1953. He made a memorable performance in 'Två åsnor' at Göteborgs stadsteater in 1958, in Åke Falck's TV-show 'Kaskad' in 1962 and in the musicals 'Stoppa världen - jag vill stiga av' at Scalateatern in 1963 and in 'La Cage aux Folles' at Malmö stadsteater in 1985. Among his roles at the Royal Dramatic Theatre the title role in 'Peter Weiss'' 'Hölderin' stand out. His movies have been relatively few, most memorable is his role as Bishop Vergérus in Ingmar Bergman's Fanny et Alexandre (1982). With his charisma he can fully control his audience, be it at restaurants, amusement parks or the spoken stage.
