I LOVE MY DAD had its World Premiere at SXSW 2022, winning both the Narrative Feature Grand Jury Award AND Audience Award. Variety's Peter Debruge praised the film as "funny, cringey, [and] all-too-credible." In addition to Morosini and Oswalt, I LOVE MY DAD stars Lil Rel Howery, Amy Landecker, Ricky Velez and Rachel Dratch. The film was bought by Magnolia Pictures and will be in theaters Nationwide August 5th. Along with writing/ directing, James has had major roles as an actor in AMERICAN HORROR STORY, FEUD, LETHAL WEAPON, and HBO's THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS.
