James Duval

James Duval was born on Apr 16, 1962 in USA. James Duval's big-screen debut came with The House of Adam directed by Jorge Ameer in 2006.

James Duval was born in the Midwest and spent the early part of his life growing up in Alaska. After high school he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon successfully finishing his mission he took up the ownership of a small chain of video stores in Alaska.In the early 90s he moved to California with the desire to pursue his actual love, filmmaking. He attended San Francisco State University to study film. Shortly after beginning at SFSU he dropped out to pursue filmmaking directly.He was married soon after moving in San Francisco. He is the father of two sons and married to a wonderful romance writer.In 2004 he moved to Los Angeles with three independent films already completed and started producing with the team he helped form while in the SF Bay Area.In 2014 he began the process of stepping away from his team to produce films independently so that he could spend more time with his family and pursue productions with a stronger social statement.
