JJ Perez, was born and raised in Kingsville, TX but now resides in Austin, TX. At the young age of 5, Perez developed a monstrous fascination for the horror genre. During his high school years, he produced multiple short films to screen in front of his classmates, but in 2017 at the age of 23, he started production on his first feature length film, "Beneath." He hopes that his new film is only the beginning of what is to come in his career. Outside of filmmaking, JJ works full time as a tour guide at Inner Space Cavern and as a Band Tech for the popular Texas cover band, The Spazmatics.
