She also starred in the Fox Searchlight's Wilson (2017), based on the graphic novel written by Daniel Clowes opposite Laura Dern and Woody Harrelson, Universal's The Boss (2016) with Melissa McCarthy, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life (2016), Barely Lethal (2015), and Joyful Noise (2012) for Warner Bros.Her other credits include the Facebook Watch comedy series, Queen American, opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones, Netflix's Alex Strangelove, written and directed by Craig Johnson, writer-director Jennifer Fox's Emmy nominated film, The Tale (2018), opposite Laura Dern, and the ABC drama series, Nashville.Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Amara's love for acting and singing was discovered when she was four years old and began auditioning at the age of ten.
