Ilknur Boyraz was born in Sivas in Turkey, grew up in Lower Saxony, studied theater studies at the Freie Universität Berlin and completed her private acting training in Berlin. Since the mid-1990s she has been regularly in front of the camera for TV and cinema. At the beginning of her career she played in several TV series with the permanent cast. She gained popularity as nurse Yasmin with 66 episodes of the Sat 1 series "Alphateam" (directors: George Moorse, John Delbridge, Gero Erhardt and others). In 2001 she appeared on the big screen in the feature film HERZ directed by Horst Szcerba. Several seasons of the series "Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel" (ARD) and more than 100 episodes of the Telenovela "Lotta in Love" (ProSieben) followed. In 2017 Ilknur Boyraz was seen as the Saracen in the historical film "Die Ketzerbraut" (Sat.1, director: Hansjörg Thurn), in the same year she played the professor and ex-wife in the series "Kommissar Pascha" (ARD, director: Sascha Bigler and Matthias Steurer). In the three episodes of the Sat.1 series "Julia Durant Investigated", she played the forensic pathologist and friend of the leading actress, directed by Maria von Heland and Nicolai Rohde. Ilknur Boyraz acted in several films in the "Tatort" series, for example in 2017 as a magistrate in the Munich crime scene "KI" (ARD, director: Sebastian Marka). Her other recent productions include "Nora Weiß" (ZDF, director: Maria von Heland), the feature film "DER FALL COLLINI" by Marco Kreuzpaintner and the award-winning web series "Singles Diaries" (Joyn, director: Sascha El Waraki). In 2021, Ilknur Boyraz starred in the top-class ZDF mini-series "Westwall" (director: Isa Prahl), in Miguel Alexandre's thriller "Schwarze Insel" (Netflix) and in the ARD series "Der Zürich" crime thriller and "The Bolzano" thriller. In addition to "Freibad" ( Constantin Film, director Doris Dörrie) Ilknur Boyraz can also be seen in the "Barbarians" ( directors: Stefan Rusowitzky, Lennart Ruff) in autumn 2022. She is also an aspiring breath teacher and -therapist. Ilknur Boyraz loves music, playing piano, singing and dancing. The actress lives with her family in Berlin.
