Born on the 24th November 1895 in Nikomedia (now Izmit, Turkey) and died on the 6tyh November 1961 in Yerevan. Studied in French and American colleges in Constantinople (now Istanbul). Since 1915 - performed in different Armenian theatrical troupes; 1922 - moved to Armenia. Since 1923 - worked in the Sundukyan Drama Theatre of Yerevan. Was one of the leading Armenian cinema and theatre actors.
