Gina-Raye was born June 13, 1972. She is an American singer, songwriter, dancer & actress. Born & raised in High Point, NC, Gina-Raye decided at the age of 14 yrs old, to enter a lip sync contest at Daddio's Dance Club in Greensboro, NC. She won 1st place for her rendition of Madonna's "Dress You Up". Gina-Raye was in her school chorus from 3rd to 12th grade. Gina-Raye moved to Los Angeles, California in 1997 to pursue a career in music & acting. She joined S.A.G /AFTRA in 1999 & used acting as a way to finance her love of making music. In 2004, she finished her Songwriting Certificate from UCLA Extension & started releasing her self-penned & co-written singles. Her love of writing lead her to working with other gifted songwriters & music producers such as keyboardist, Alexander "Ace" Baker, Dion Allen from the band Az Yet, R&B writer, Joe Robinson, rock legend, Kelly Keeling & trumpet player, Jeff Lewis from the band Tierra. Gina-Raye also appeared in an episode of NYPD Blue and HBO's political film, "Path To War".
