Gilles Perrault was born on Mar 09, 1931 in France. Gilles Perrault's big-screen debut came with To Skin a Spy directed by Jacques Deray in 1966.

His father was a lawyer and his mother, a former member of parliament and at one time vice-president of the Assembée nationale, Gilles Perrault became a lawyer then a journalist. He is now a specialist of espionnage history with his books, "L'Orchestre rouge" and the trilogy "Le Secret du roi " His novels " Les jardins de l'Observatoire" and "Go" are autobiographical.
