George Stanchev

actor

George Stanchev was born on Jun 19, 1980 in Bulgaria. George Stanchev's big-screen debut came with Daydream Believers: The Monkees Story directed by Neill Fearnley in 2000, strarring Davy Jones.

George is a full-fledged Bulgarian lad, born in Sofia, Bulgaria to real live Bulgarian parents. Taking on Davy Jones's British accent in "Daydream Believers: The Monkees Story" was no sweat for him, though--he high schooled at the American School in Switzerland, where he used to mimic the accents of his English friends. Growing up in Toronto, he attended Forest Hills Public School. Now he travels back and forth between Toronto and Los Angeles, where he takes acting classes and guitar lessons. He's appeared in one film that we know of called Octopus, from Nu Image. George is also a budding musician--with his father, he's written and produced an album called "Are You Ready." The album shot to number one on the Bulgarian charts, outstripping superstar Ricky Martin's album in the process, and will soon be released in the States. George enjoys listening to *N SYNC and Michael Jackson...and rumor has it that he's got a lot of Michael's moves down pat!
