Born Eduardo de Ceano-Vivas y Sabau in Havana, Cuba of Spanish parents. His father was a soldier in the Spanish army and moved from Cuba to Madrid shortly after Cuba's independence. In 1919 he returned to Havana already an experienced stage actor to replace thespian Julio Taboada in the Teatro Ideal for that season becoming a member of Taboada's company shortly thereafter. He participated in the creation of the first Sindicato de Actores, "Actors' Guild" of Spain with Arturo Soto Rangel and Ernesto Finance. Later he shared the stage with Virginia Fabregas, Prudencia Grifel, Maria Tabau the Anita and Isabellita Blanch. He toured many times throughout Mexico and made over 30 films with Mexican movie companies. He died in Mexico City.
